Basic Tonfa Training
Tonfa stance, body movement and techniques
Below I have included a video of the basic Tonfa attacks showing the correct and effective body positions and movements required for an effective Tonfa strike. Notice that the whole body is required to move in order to have maximum effect.
For any attacking or defensive technique to be effective your body position [ Tia Sabaki ] must enable you to make that attack successful by ensuring the Tonfa technique can be performed the most efficiently.

The next video shows the progressive stages of Tonfa techniques you need to ensure a well rounded knowledge and skill level.
Probably the most important thing to remember is to practice your Tonfa techniques both left and right handed.
